Primary sources receive priority. External trackers, media reports, practitioner commentary, and AI outputs may identify leads but do not replace primary sources for canonical fields.

Adjudication workflow

  1. Receive correction.
  2. Validate the submitted URL.
  3. Determine source type.
  4. Compare with the canonical field.
  5. Editor adjudicates.
  6. If adopted, update data / copy / source manifest.
  7. Recompute affected outputs.
  8. Publish a changelog entry if material.
  9. Notify the submitter.

When we publish a changelog entry

A public changelog entry is published whenever a correction affects firm inclusion, row class, cohort flag, status, event date, vote tally, market cap, primary source, legal holding, homepage metric, or chart value.
